The previous few weeks have been crazy at my house. Gary and I have had our three grandchildren from Alabama for the past 10 days, Kati (8) Isaac (5) and Eli (4). In addition I had to work eight of those ten days. Gary kept the kids during the day and I got them at night, with the extra cooking, cleaning and washing. Plus my Mom had surgery just before the kids came and my brother visited from California for a few days. I AM READY FOR A BREAK!
MMy day started at 5:30 am, I was scheduled to work 7:30-3:30. After a crazy Monday morning, I skipped lunch and hurried home to jump into th vehicle. Which was ten feet high, LOL! OK not quite that tall but a difficult task for this "old" lady. And down the road we went. We got to O'Fallon at 9:30 pm and went down for the night, even though we could have gotten an extra 100 miles or so. Bruce had made arrangements to stay with a friend there. The kids have done so good for the first leg of the trip. We are all excited and ready for this family time, a way to celebrate 10 years of marriage for my boys and their brides. This was the way they wanted to celebrate. Thank God for families.
And I don't have to drive any on this trip, and can cat nap during all I want to!
